PAULA TURNS OFF HER ALARM AFTER 14 YEARS!

After 22 years on BayFM, and the last 14 years(!) getting up at 4am to wake up Geelong, BayFM’s breakfast host Paula Kontelj has decided it’s time to throw away her alarm clock and enjoy a sleep in…’til at least…5.00am when her body clock wakes her up.

For 14 years, Paula has juggled the early starts with raising a young family, coping with serious illness within the family, running a household, becoming a celebrant and pursuing the second love of her life…being a fitness instructor.

Paula’s radio career is peppered with highlights, one of which was receiving a finalist nomination at the 2011 Australian Commercial Radio Awards for Best On-Air Team with Co-Host Hayden Miller.

We’ll miss Paula while eating our weeties and driving the kids to school. Paula’s last show will be on December 21 live from the Ice Skating rink on Cunningham Pier. But we’re sure we haven’t heard the last of Paula.
