From 5AM tomorrow your Facebook news feed will change. Industry insiders say that the news feed will feature seperate feeds for different things like images, music and video and you can switch between them using buttons along the top of your page. Music fans should be happy with the music feed possibly containing information about concerts nearby and updated about what your friends are listening to. The changes may also include the ability to add an instagram feed, helping users further customise how they use Facebook and what they see when they log in. It's not all about the users though, with advertisers already speculating that these custom feeds will allow businesses to further customise who they advertise to, making the Facebook product a more valuable tool for marketing. Tech Crunch reports that ads will become "more visable and vivid" The changes come after Facebook approved a patent that will allow people to remove ads from their timeline.
